The IEC Magnetic Encoder is very similar to the IEC Optical Encoders that perform with very high reliability in many varied demanding applications. The only change is that the reading system within the encoder detects magnetic pulses rather than optical signals. The mechanical system and the signal processing electronics of the Magnetic Encoder are the same as that used in the Optical Encoders.
